A powerful trick for boosting self esteem

Do you have self-doubt?

Do you sometimes don't believe in your ability to achieve something?

There is a powerful way for you to change that by building something into your routine:

  1. Step 1: chose something which is (i) hard for you to do, and (ii) important for you.

  2. Step 2: do it - and if you fail, try and keep trying until you do it.

Examples:

- Take a cold shower in the morning.

- Get out of bed immediately when the alarm rings.

- Stay off social media for x hours.

- Do 100 squats the moment you get out of bed.

- Don't have that drink.

- Make a phone call you've been hesitating about.

- Put on headphones and read for an hour.

- Climb the stairs in your building x times.

Again: chose something "hard" AND "important" to "you".

This would be even more powerful if you do it first thing in the morning.

The sense of accomplishment you'll feel having started the day on the right path will carry through the rest of your day, giving you momentum and self-confidence to tackle bigger challenges.
