An alarming number of men & women are deficient in testosterone. Are you?

An alarming number of men & women are deficient in testosterone. Are you?

Testosterone deficiency is one of the biggest problems affecting male and female populations throughout the world.

Testosterone deficiency isn't just a problem for muscle gain and sexual performance. Testosterone is one of the key mult-function hormones in both men and women, and deficiency is linked to a wide variety of diseases, including obesity, diabetes, compromised immune system, and even heart disease.

People most prone to deficiency are those exposed to extreme physical/mental stress, vegans, and those exposed to environmental toxins.

In this post, I talk about the reasons, the importance of finding out, and offer 10 tips to address that problem.

What I do when "tired & wired", can't sleep, but still need my brain to "function" the next day

What I do when "tired & wired", can't sleep, but still need my brain to "function" the next day

As I'm writing this, it's 3:30am.

I'm suffering form what is commonly referred to as "tired but wired".

I'm tired, exhausted actually, but I'm guilty of not following my own advice and trying to get too much done over the past few weeks.

But I still have to "function" during the day. I can't afford for my brain not to be as sharp as possible in my line of work.

So here are my top tips for you to be able to still function well during the day when suffering from insomnia and being "wired and tired" (and which I use myself).

Top 5 reasons for feeling tired all the time – Part 1: physiology

Top 5 reasons for feeling tired all the time – Part 1: physiology

Do you ever feel like you’re having to force yourself to get out of the bed in the morning?
Do you struggle to maintain energy levels throughout the day and find it hard to get work done in the afternoon?
Do you feel so tired when getting to the bed that you can’t actually fall asleep?

You’re not the only one. “Chronic fatigue” is a very common problem affecting millions of people, and especially those seeking to achieve a lot in life.

Reasons for “chronic fatigue” can be classified as physiological (physical) and psychological (mental).

In this post (Part 1) I’ll address the Physiological (physical) aspects. In Part 2, I’ll discuss Psychological aspects.

Fears and Desires

There are 2 types of people:

Those whose DESIRES are bigger than their FEARS.

Those whose FEARS are bigger than their DESIRES, paralyzing them.

Your state of mind determines where you belong.

I see so many extremely talented people paralyzed and unable to achieve even 50% of their potential.

Some are potential entrepreneurs with amazing ideas, some are junior or mid-level executives at large companies and they have the potential to step out of others' shadows and carve their own path. One thing stops them: FEAR.

And as much as I love old Chinese movies, "facing your fears" isn't exactly a practical solution.

Sure, it may work for certain superficial fears (heights, spiders, monsters under the bed), but you can't just "decide to face your fear of failure".

The only weapon against FEAR is DESIRE.

The only thing more powerful than your FEARS are your DREAMS.

When you make your dream bigger than your fear: you write it down, describe in minute detail, imagine yourself "living that dream", visualizing it every day, several times a day: you're FEEDING your dreams instead of your fears.

You're making your dreams and desires so big, your hunger for them so strong, that fear just shrinks in comparison, and you won't even think about it twice.

You'll just jump in with both feet and make things happen, make your dream happen, make your DESIRES a REALITY.

This one thing Vegans and Paleo People do can change your approach to everything in life

This one thing Vegans and Paleo People do can change your approach to everything in life

This one thing Vegans and Paleo People do can change your approach to everything in life.

I like many things about both approaches to eating (and I also don’t agree with a lot of things in both).

But that’s not really relevant or why I bring this up.

Both diets are based on powerful habit-forming psychological tools which you can apply to all areas of your life.

I’ve never done this with a book before, ever

If you were to ask me what my favorite book is, I wouldn’t have an answer. I could list a dozen books which I would recommend to absolutely anyone, but I couldn’t pick one out as my absolute favorite.

If you were to ask me if I’ve re-read any book, my answer would be yes.

BUT if you were to ask me if I’ve re-read a book immediately after reading it for the first time? Well my answer would have been no, until last week.

I’m half-way through a book for the second time in 10 days, and I have a feeling I’ll be reading it for a 3rd time next week!

The most important list every high performer should write today

The most important list every high performer should write today

“Now what?” is a question that haunts every single high performing individual I’ve ever met or read about.

You put your heart and soul into achieving something, and once you do, there is general feeling of emptiness – a void has been left where that challenge was.

You feel restless, anxious, irritable, and sometimes depressed.

Don’t let this happen to you. There is something you can do about it.

So… should you eat red meat or not?!

So… should you eat red meat or not?!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you would have read the headlines and stories and heard the reports exploding over the “WHO says red meat causes cancer” story last week.

Vegans were smug. Paleo people went on the attack. Virtually everyone voiced an opinion on it.

For this reason, I’ll refrain from voicing my own opinion on the matter (frequent readers will know my opinion anyway).

So my aim in this post is to present the facts, and let the reader use his/her own judgment and decide on a course of action. So here we go.

Do this test to find out if you’re even capable of losing weight

Do this test to find out if you’re even capable of losing weight

Many people struggle to lose weight despite doing all the right things. And by “right things”, I don’t mean the advice commonly dished out by nutritionists and medical doctors (these obviously don’t work), but rather the scientifically-based advice geared towards getting your body in balance.

There is a simple test I ask people to do to find out whether their body is even capable of burning enough fat in the first place: the results will shock you.

The Health & Nutrition Digest

The Health & Nutrition Digest

I typically go through 20-40 research papers on a weekly basis, looking for interesting findings, which can be implemented in pursuit of high performance.

Here is a summary of some of the most recent interesting findings I came across:

  • New evidence explains how exposure to blue light is hampering your children’s physical development.
  • 64% higher risk of developing diabetes if you eat pesticide-laden fruits and veggies.
  • “Diet soda” makes you “eat more” and “eat worse”.
  • This one surprised me: ice-cold drinks not the best way to cool down during endurance races!
  • Finally, some scientific evidence showing that the Paleo Diet outperforms “recommended diets”.
  • New evidence that a “low carb high fat” diet is superior in treatment of diabetes than typically recommended diet.

If you work with people, you need to be aware of this

Employee frustrations arising from their boss’ behavior are common problems.

Yet many of those employees are team leaders themselves, and while they may be right in criticizing the management style of their boss, chances are that they’re not the ideal team leaders either.

I’ve observed CEOs and executives throughout my career, and have come to realize that there are 3 clear types of “team leaders” at any level.

Do you know which type you are and what to do about it? Read on to learn more.
